Education
He graduated in Computer Science from the University of Salerno back in 2009, with a dissertation on an electronic voting system and a thesis on algorithms on graphs, the latter carried out in Iceland at the University of Háskólinn í Reykjavík.
Start-up and work experience
Over the years I have founded several companies, starting with the development of web applications (not websites, of course I did those too, who hasn’t gone through that?!) that exploited the ‘modern’ technologies of the time such as jQuery, HTML Canvas and CSS3 (yes at the time jQuery was also ‘modern’).
I then moved on to iPhone application development, first natively with Objective-C and then by exploiting various ‘cross-platform’ frameworks, which used Javascript in most cases, to easily go on Android as well, without much hassle, but in the end the hassles were always there.
Mangatar and the video game world
Partly by chance, partly out of passion, I ended up developing apps and software on the web that looked more and more like video games. This was the period of Mangatar, with which I gained experience as a ‘Startupper’, a wonderful experience that gave me an extraordinary education.
At that time, thanks to our constant presence ‘in the start-up business’, we had the opportunity to collaborate with Microsoft on the porting of one of our games to Windows Phone, which gave us the opportunity to delve into Unity3D for mobile game development, and it has been love at first sight ever since.
During that time, I also had the pleasure of delving into topics parallel to pure development, all topics that were involved in one way or another in the planning and design of video games. I found topics such as the psychology behind game design, data analysis, multiplayer systems, freemium business models, backend as a service systems and user acquisition particularly interesting.
Getting started as a freelancer
I collaborate with Italian companies in the video game sector such as DigitalTales, Spinvector, Just Funny Games.
You could say ‘forever’ I have been working with Michele Criscuolo on many projects, we compensate each other on many aspects and together we achieve a fair amount of firepower.
In 2020, I had the pleasure of collaborating with the legendary Maestro Libero Iannuzzi on the development of musical games for children. I met Daniele Biancardi of Geniusuite, with whom we actively collaborate on the development of various web and mobile products for schools and the educational sector in general.
Linkedin is definitely the point of reference for all the projects and collaborations I have carried out in the past and from which you can contact the people I have worked with.
On my website (if you are reading from mobile you have to open the menu on the top right), there are some of the projects I have collaborated on.
